I'm glad I made myself a few floaty little numbers the brave the heat!
This dress is one I actually made a while back with some lovely light weight hand printed cotton which a very kind friend of mine gave to me- fabric is my favorite type of gift!
This dress is the no-pattern sheered sundress which i teach in my studio and works really well in this super-lightweight cotton. I do have to be careful what pants I wear though- in the first pics before I scooted upstairs to change my black undies were quite visible! Oops!
The next dress, and I think my favorite purely for it's versatility, is a tropical printed jersey tee-shirt dress, perfect for slipping on over my bikini.
Anyway, back to Cyprus...
I also made a lovely bright cotton wrap top sundress
I added a bit of sparkle with a few gold sequins and ricrac trim. I'm not huge on embellishment- something I want to work on building my confidence with, but I did feel it needed a little bit of something.
Here's some close-ups...
OMG, what gorgeousness! I managed- just about- to not buy the whole shop but I did leave with this little stash...
So that's what's on my sewing table for now. I'll keep you posted how I get on with the shirt, the sweatshirt and the shoes! Till then, Happy Crafting!
